Valorant Game Changers crowns China and Pacific champions, and the World Championship lands in Brazil

Nova Esports GC and Gen.G GC won their regional Game Changers finals over the weekend and will fight for the world title in São Paulo from October 22 to November 1.

The weekend brought a double decision in Valorant's women's circuit. On Sunday (9/20), Game Changers closed out its China and Pacific regional brackets, and anyone paying attention saw two very different finals: one settled with relative ease, the other going the distance on map five.

In Shanghai, Nova Esports GC ran over Havoc & Yonder GC 3-1 in the Game Changers China grand final. The scoreline tells the story of control: 13-7 on Haven, 13-6 on Abyss, a recovery loss on Lotus (6-13), then a comfortable close on Split, 13-3. Clem was the most mentioned name of the series, carrying much of the team's offensive rhythm.

On the other side of the map, in Bali, the Pacific decider was a nail-biter. Gen.G GC had come through a lower-bracket run after being sent down by FENNEL GC in the semifinals, and pulled off the redemption right in the grand final: 3-2, dropping Summit and Lotus back to back before responding on Ascent and closing things out with a dominant 13-4 on Sunset. South Korea's DaNa finished the five maps with 101 kills and a 275 average combat score, numbers that sum up the scale of that comeback.

Neither win only matters for regional bragging rights. Nova Esports locks in the China seed and Gen.G enters as the Pacific's first seed (FENNEL, despite the loss, also punched a ticket as the runner-up) at the Game Changers Championship 2026, running in São Paulo from October 22 to November 1.

In practice, that means a Valorant women's world championship on Brazilian soil, which changes the coverage temperature quite a bit around here: fans get to follow along at reasonable hours instead of staying up for a final on Chinese or Indonesian time like this weekend.

The timing is worth noting too, because Game Changers has been climbing in competitive level year over year, and seeing a five-map decider show up right at the stage that qualifies teams for Worlds tells you the gap at the top has closed a lot. Anyone into competitive Valorant has plenty of reason to pencil in October.
