Persona 4 Revival shows off Naoto Shirogane in new trailer, confirms February 2027 release

During Tokyo Game Show 2026, Atlus revealed the character trailer for Naoto Shirogane in the Persona 4 remake and reconfirmed the February 18, 2027 release date.

Tokyo Game Show 2026 kicked off this week, and Atlus wasted no time: right during Xbox's broadcast at the event, a new character trailer for Naoto Shirogane dropped for Persona 4 Revival, the full remake of the 2008 PS2 classic. The video landed in the middle of a stream packed with big announcements (Kojima even showed up at the end), but for anyone following the series closely, Naoto tends to steal the spotlight.

In the remake, Naoto is introduced as a first-year high school student and fifth-generation member of the Shirogane detective family, joining the protagonist to investigate a string of mysterious incidents. Her Persona is still Sukuna-Hikona, and Atlus says her calculating, sharp personality carries over into how she fights, leaning into a more tactical combat style than the rest of the cast.

Voice work stays consistent on the Japanese side, with Romi Park reprising the role she's played since the original 2008 game, while Amber Lee Connors takes over the English dub. This marks the eighth character trailer in this promotional wave, following similar spots for Yu Narukami, Rise, Yosuke, Chie, Yukiko, Kanji, and Teddie.

On the release date front, Atlus and Xbox reconfirmed that Persona 4 Revival is coming February 18, 2027 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam and the Microsoft Store). The Nintendo Switch 2 version follows later, set for May 20, 2027. On Xbox, the game will be available day one through Game Pass, including Xbox Play Anywhere.

In practice, this isn't the kind of news that changes much for anyone who already decided they're buying it, but it's a smart way to gauge audience interest ahead of launch. Naoto is consistently one of Persona 4's most beloved characters, so leaning on her for hype makes sense from a marketing angle.

The timing on the Switch 2 version, arriving three months after the other platforms, is worth noting too. It's a common strategy, giving the port extra time to run well, but it also means anyone wanting to play the full remake on day one will need a PS5, Xbox Series console, or PC ready to go.
