Hell is Us Delays Switch 2 Version Again, Now to October 27

Rogue Factor just confirmed the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Hell is Us needs more time. The port was already bumped from September 24 to October 8, and now the actual date is October 27. That is delay number two in less than three months for the same version.

This time the studio isn't blaming bugs or unfinished work. The official line points to logistical and distribution issues that are out of the team's hands, which usually means something on the manufacturing or certification side of physical copies rather than anything wrong with the game's code.

Rogue Factor was careful to stress that the Switch 2 build itself is finished and free of technical problems. There's also a practical reason behind the new date: the game's first major content update, originally planned to launch alongside the Switch 2 version, got pushed to October 27 too, so every platform (PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and now Switch 2) gets the same content on the same day.

Hell is Us launched back in September 2025 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, mixing a maze-like exploration structure with third-person melee combat that flirts with Soulslike territory without copying the formula outright. It split opinions at launch, but it also built a small, loyal fanbase precisely because it refused to follow the usual playbook.

For anyone who already finished the game elsewhere, this delay changes basically nothing besides when the big update lands. For people who picked up a Switch 2 recently and were counting this port as a reason to fire it up, though, it's one more month tacked onto an already long backlog.

The timing is a little odd, since October is packed with big releases, so Rogue Factor essentially swapped one crowded window for another. Whether that's the smart move is debatable, but at least logistics is a more concrete excuse than the usual "we need more polish" line studios lean on.
