Arrowhead put Scope of Authority live today, the newest premium Warbond for Helldivers 2. The studio already flagged the October 20 launch date on the PlayStation Blog last week, and the pitch is straightforward: give players tools to step away from the usual chaos and lean into ranged, patient combat.
The headliner is the R-40 Sightliner, a bolt-action rifle loaded with armor-piercing rounds for anyone who likes to line up a shot before pulling the trigger. For the moments that go sideways, the P-44 Mist secondary is a one-handed machine pistol built for quick close encounters. Among the stratagems, the AMW-20 Apex is a heavy anti-materiel rifle with assisted reload meant to punch through thick armor, the LAS-44 Nova is an energy rifle with infinite ammo, and the G-11 Caltrops is a throwable that scatters submunitions to slow and stun enemies nearby.
On the armor side, the light SS-33 Mimetic Marshal takes cues from ghillie suits and ships with a matching cape and player card. The medium SS-15 Focal Point leans on adaptive camouflage and an asymmetrical visor. Both share the Stationary Shroud passive, which cuts weapon sway and detection range while crouched or prone, a combination the game hadn't really offered this directly before.
The pack rounds out with the Manual Ballistic Projection emote and the Longshot title. Unlocking everything still requires owning the base game, spending Super Credits to buy the Warbond, then working through it with Medals like every other Warbond before it.
This is honestly the clearest answer Arrowhead has given yet to the long-running request for a proper stealth playstyle in Helldivers 2. The catch is that the whole game is built around collective chaos: bugs swarming, bombs going off, last-second panic calls. A passive that rewards staying still and crouched is a neat option for solo or flanking players, but it's unlikely to shake up the group meta, where sheer volume of fire still beats precision most of the time.
